Is your hemp safe for consumption?

We run Full Panel testing on our products to ensure that the products that we are delivering to you are safe.

What is Full Panel Testing?

Full Panel testing includes a Cannabinoid Profile, as well as testing for Pesticides, Heavy Metals, Mycotoxins, Mold, and Yeast.

Most CBD companies only run a COA or Certificate of Analysis that shows cannabinoid content. This is where we find out the potency of the product, but that doesn’t tell us the full story on what is going on with the hemp.

Some CBD companies will also test for pesticides. This is a step in the right direction and shows that no harmful chemicals have been sprayed on the plants.

Rarely do CBD companies test for Heavy Metals. Hemp is a bioaccumulator, which means that it soaks up everything in the soil. Many farmers growing hemp are doing so in old tobacco fields. The potential danger of this is lead poisoning. Old tractors used to run on leaded gasoline, which means the exhaust from those tractors poisoned the soil with lead. Lead has a very long half life and can still be in the soil for hemp to come along and soak up. We run Heavy Metals testing on our product to make sure that you are not consuming products containing lead.

Mycotoxins, Mold, and Yeast are pretty nasty and not something that you want to consume. Especially if you have a compromised immune system and are using CBD to help with symptoms. Most of the hemp grown across the U.S. is grown outdoors and suspect to these kinds of problems. Last year most of the farmers in NC lost most of their crops due to mold and other problems. Molds can happen out in the field, but also during the drying and curing process if not done correctly. Dragon Gate Botanicals runs these tests to ensure you that your products are safe and not full of nasty stuff that may cause health issues.
